Terms of Service
Effective date: July 6, 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pictefor web platform and the Pictefor desktop application (together, the "Service"), operated by Pictefor ("we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
Pictefor turns unstructured sources — documents, images, video, audio, and web pages — into structured datasets using AI-assisted extraction. Output quality depends on your source material and on third-party AI models; results may contain errors and are provided for you to review before use. You are responsible for verifying extracted data before relying on it.
3. Accounts and seats
Subscriptions are sold to businesses as an owner account with a number of member seats. The account owner is responsible for the actions of the users they invite, for keeping credentials confidential, and for ensuring seat holders comply with these Terms. Seats are for individual named users; credential sharing across people is not permitted. We may apply device-count limits per seat as described on our pricing page.
4. Fair use of AI processing
Plans include a monthly allowance of processing units consumed by AI extraction. Allowances, per-seat caps, and any overage terms are shown on the pricing page and inside the platform. We may throttle or pause processing that exceeds your plan's allowance or that degrades the Service for others.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- process content you have no legal right to process, including personal data without a lawful basis;
- scrape or extract data from websites in violation of their terms of service or applicable law;
- violate any law, infringe intellectual-property rights, or distribute malware;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties outside your organization without our written consent;
- attempt to bypass usage limits, seat limits, or security measures.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to the files you process and the datasets you produce. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service — transmitting your content to the AI providers we use for extraction and storing your results where you choose to sync them. We do not use your content to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for details on processing and retention.
7. Billing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as our merchant of record. Your purchase is additionally subject to Paddle's terms, and Paddle handles payment, applicable taxes, invoices, and refunds on our behalf. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; the Service depends on third-party AI providers and infrastructure. We may modify features, and we may modify these Terms — material changes will be announced on the platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Termination
You may cancel at any time from the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination you can export your datasets for 30 days, after which we may delete synced data.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of AI-extracted data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
